No luck looking at USB port, too tiny to see anything. Also I think if it really worked, then when I connect USB flash drive using supplied host cable, led light on flash drive should turn on - it doesn't, suggesting USB port being completely dead.

• we manage to find mentioned serial port
• u-boot in tablet is not so limited as shown on the link (generally it allows selecting from which memory to boot, flashing, etc).
• there is actually working u-boot left
• some key combination does start the boot process

Now the problem is, this seems like a lot of investigative work, and I don't even have an oscilloscope...

I've found a local tablet guru/wizard, who claims he can fix any Android tablet. Told him everything, he didn't sound concerned about hard bricked state or tablet being from China. I'll meet him at Monday, I suppose he'll need a day or two to do the repairs (or give up) and then I'll report here, possibly also with information how one can do the repairs himself. I'll tell him to try to flash Inspiration 0.2 Advanced firmware.

Sadly guru guy said that he couldn't do anything; he believes flash memory chip is dead.

I think I'm going to save some money and get a Samsung or Sony...

Shipping garbage back to China

Buenos dias expertos!... tengo una A15 que desafortunadamente he querido actualizar y ha muerto. Pero me pilla un problemon, he leido que hay una solucion si haces la combinacion de teclas (vol -/Reset/power) y luego le instalas un CFW. Pero mi Voyo no enciende, de ninguna manera, ni aun dejandola sin bateria, sea cual sea la combinacion de teclas, no muestra ni brillo en la pantalla.
Acudo a vosotros porque la pagina china donde la compre (OrientDeal) no me da respuesta alguna, y el foro oficial de Voyo en chino es incomprensible aun con traductor de google.
Se os ocurre alguna manera de resetearla? o al menos forzar que encienda para intentar reanimarla con un CFW? veo que la han abierto, se puede desconectar la bateria o algo parecido?
desde ya muchas gracias por todo, espero me puedan dar alguna ayuda ya que esta tablet fue regalo para mi hija, y no tuve mejor idea que intentar actualizarla debido a que le funcionaba mal.

Tienes q tener una tarjeta sd, meterle el cwm de jolocotroco, en su ultimo post de ROM KitKat 4.2 lo tienes. Y darle a volumen menos y botón de encender. Si te funciona metiéndole el nuevo firmware en la se podrfas instalalrlo. Para abrirla es con dos destornilladores planos y forzando por donde encaja la chapa de atrás. Pero la batería va soldada. Prueba primero lo otro, tb hay un agujero de reset q con una aguja fina puedes hacerlo.
